Why is it that when I run many of the Yahoo! videos, I can see the pre-video advertising just fine on my Linux Gentoo system, but the video won't run, complaining "Your OS is not supported."? This is baloney. I have all the media codecs installed, YouTube works fine on my system, the ads work as well. Has anyone gotten full video support on Linux on Yahoo!?
BTW, this is the 21st century Yahoo! It's as easy to support Mac and Linux as Windows these days. Do so.
On Linux, why do video ads work but not the videos themselves?
I'm running Ubuntu Studio and they all work fine for me, you can try changing the default media player.
