Still having problems viewing videos and graphics.?

On Linux, why do video ads work but not the videos themselves?
Why is it that when I run many of the Yahoo! videos, I can see the pre-video advertising just fine on my Linux Gentoo system, but the video won't run, complaining "Your OS is not supported."? This is baloney. I have all the media codecs installed, YouTube works fine on my system, the ads work as well. Has anyone gotten full video support on Linux on Yahoo!?

How do I create a video out of 2 separate videos playing side-by-side on one screen?
For example, -This is what I'm intending to do.
1) I want to take a video captured off a video camera.
2) I want to take a video off my computer, recorded from Fraps/Hypercam/etc.
I want to take these two videos, crop off half a side each so I can stick them next to each other, and have them play at the same time, side-by-side.
How can I do this? Also, the sync is VERY IMPORTANT.
By doing this, would it be difficult to synchronize the videos very well?

How do i get videos to my psp slim.?
i have the mp4 video files in a folder. I've tried moving them to the "VIDEO" file that i made and MP_ROOT\100MNV01 files. I don't know what to do from now. When i go to the videos option on my psp it just says no videos available. But on my computer it says that the ffiles are there and my mb's have went down. 10 ppointts for anyone who can tell me the right way to get videos on it, and i'll GREATLY appreciate it. I've been trying to do this since decemmber :(

Do you have any YT or Google videos that are not necessarily religious in nature but still move you spiritually?
One of my faves is of a sick praying mantis that was found by someone who thought to tape the interaction with this very sick creature. I can't articulate why it moves me but it does and I have watched that video countless times.

One of my faves is of a sick praying mantis that was found by someone who thought to tape the interaction with this very sick creature. I can't articulate why it moves me but it does and I have watched that video countless times.

I have been watching a few you tube vidoes and I see that many of the videos have cool introductions or endings. For example, the person who made the video may have his name appear at the botton of the screen and than it will fade away kind of like watching the news. How do they do that. What computer program do they use to add that stuff tho their video. I have seen some cool effects added to plain old videos and I wanted to know so I could do stuff like that as well.

I downloaded a converter and they need the file of the video. I downloaded music videos from veoh, but can't find the files anywhere on my computer. It's so frustrating. I looked in my documents, desktop, everywhere. Is there another way that I put the videos from veoh into the converter? If not, can you explain where I can get the files for the videos?

Nascar.com Videos not working?
I am stationed overseas and local television doesn't play the races. I've relied on Nascar.com for updates, videos, and trackpass for the last couple of years for my Nascar fix. Lately, I can't play any videos at all from there. (tried on multiple computers with multiple operating systems) Is anybody else having problems playing videos from there? I'm kinda stressed about this right now because Daytona is upon us and I have no idea if trackpass will work at all or do nothing like the videos do. It's going to be really hard to remain a fan of the sport if I can't even watch any races!

Why won't my uploaded music video show up in 'My Videos' on YouTube?
When I tried uploading my latest music video on YouTube, everything goes smoothly. However, when YouTube says it finished uploading my video, I go to 'My Videos' on my account and I don't see it! I kept on trying and trying and I end up getting the same results! It's not there! This never happened before to my other videos. So I don't know what's wrong!

Videos on CNBC.com Are Causing My Internet to Crash-Just had my computer re-formatted. My friend Installed Windows XP %26amp; Nod32AntiVirus among other programs. I am very computer Illiterate - but am also very disappointed that my Videos on CNBC aren't working.
I have tried running the videos on Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox %26amp; Have Tried Downloading the Videos. All 3 of These Things Have Caused it to Crash.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated--Thank You.

It sounds like there might be a damaged or corrupt system file that's preventing Windows Media Player from functioning properly. I'm going to make a few assumptions about the reformat that was done: (a) your friend used a legitimate XP install disk with a valid 25 digit user code and the reinstall passed the Windows Genuine Advantage scan for authenticity; (b) the disk included Service Pack 2 or your friend downloaded it after the initial reformat/reinstall of XP; (c) all necessary patches and hotfixes were installed from the Windows Update site; (d) there were no error messages or warnings during steps a - c.
You need to find out what it says on the XP install disk. On mine it says: "Microsoft Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 2 (Product Key Required)". Yours might say "Microsoft Windows XP Home (Product Key Required)" which means it does not include the latest service pack. Or it might have Service Pack 1 or 1a on the disk.
Windows XP uses Windows Media Player 10 and Internet Explorer 6 as the defaults. If your friend went through the automatic Windows Updates and let everything get installed, you probably have WMP 11 and IE 7 on your machine. Both of these updates caused problems in the past for many people.
Have your friend remove the NOD32 and Firefox. Do a repair install of the XP. You won't lose any personal settings or programs except for Windows Updates that came out after your install disk was manufactured (including SP2 if it's not on the install disk.) This link will give you instructions and screen shots of what you'll actually see. I selected XP Pro but the steps are the same for XP Home:

When I export my videos from Adobe Premiere Elements 3.0 to .wmv or any other video file I get weird, horizontal lines that run across my video and shadow my subjects. Videos won't load?
I've been watching videos on YouTube for over a year and I've never had a problem. But ever since yesterday the videos won't load properly. When I try to watch something, the red loading bar thingy will stop moving, so I can only watch the very beginning. I tried waiting for it to load but it just wouldn't move. When I refresh the page or try to watch the video again, nothing happens at all. I just get that black 'loading' screen. This has been happening since yesterday when I installed a wireless router. Does that have something to do with it?

On the Yahoo Videos section- it is very easy to download- some videos cannot be downloaded- you can even view them without some form of payment- can I assume that if I can view the video for free and can easliy copy it- that's OK- for my own personal use at home? Most of the video content is short trailers and segments of scenes- Not a whole scene, show or movie- these are what I would call promotional trailers

Cannot View Videos on Windows Media Player 11?
Sometimes when I click a link to watch a video, wmp 11 will open and say "changing media files" and then it will begin to play. I hear sounds but cannot see anything but a blank screen.
But when Im on youtube, google video, or even a site that has a little wmp screen to view videos it works perfectly, but when I try to stream it to wmp I just get a blank screen...

i have a video ipod and its impossible to get photos or videos on it! music works though. its not that im stupid and i just dont know how, it really wont work. im reading other people's questions and people say to do something like "drag the video into the ipod icon" or w/e..there is something that says "amber's ipod" but there is no tab that says photo or video..i have pics saved in a folder and i clicked "add folder to library" and it doesnt show up any where..is it possible that something wrong w/ my itunes?

Okay, so I having been losing weight (VERY SLOWLY I might add). Running on the treadmill is so BORING! I know I should do it like 2 times a week, but I was wondering what exercise videos are the best. (I want a variety that I can choose from that day). I want to lose weight as fast as possible, and I want to do it healthy, and I want to know the videos that will get rid of my stomach (I want it FLAT) and my thighs, my upper arms and my lower legs. (I guess that is what everyone wants) Please help me I am eating right, and I would just like to know what the best workout videos are.

If you MUST use a DVd I suggest visiting a library and looking through their back catalogue of dvds, watch a few and choose one or two of them and stick to them at least three times per week...... more if you have the time. Billy Blanks seems to be the guru at the moment?...... good luck!!!! Half of the battle is putting your gym clothes on....... I'm lucky that I am crazy about working out........but do it way to often.

Take light exercises and brisk walks (minimum 20 min duration) regularly preferably twice a day.
U will achieve what u have not even dreamt and that too in a reasonable time. Do not be in a hurry. It is however to be noted that one cannot change the shape or size of different parts of the body.

I've changed the format w/ video converter, I've put it in the 100MNV01 an 100ANV01 folders, and I've created a new video folder but none of these things worked. I have the newer edition of the PSP but, I'm using a memory card that came w/ the original PSP. The videos I downloaded from www.video.google.com and I converted all of them to MPEG-4 Movie format using Alive PSP Video Converter and they still aren't showing up. Can someone please help me?

Why is my Myspace video slider not scrolling the videos?
On my Myspace profile I have the video slider that should scroll through my videos. It's there, but it is not scrolling. You move the slider for scrolling speed and it doesn't do anything. I emailed Myspace telling them that and those rejects emailed me back saying how to upload a video. So I replied to them saying that is not what I asked for and told them again. unless its green screened footage, it won't be under $100. sorry. if it is green screened then you have several options such as Ulead VideoStudio or Sony Vegas Movie Studio (to name a couple but there are more)
and even if you spend a ton of money (if the footage is not green screened), it is still a VERY tedius process to remove background from a target object of a film (frame by frame rotoscoping 30 frames for every second of film) and this can only be done in motion graphics software such as Adobe After Effects. I highly doubt Final Cut Pro can do it (it is just a regular film editor despite all the false hype flying around).

Where can I find some videos that have been edited with Final Cut Studio? Not much on youtube?
I am looking for some videos that have been edited professionally with Final Cut Pro (1 or 2). I am going to be doing the senior video for my class in a few years and want to get started with some ideas on cool ideas for intros, fades, animations, etc. The people who have done the senior videos in the past few years have used Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 and the videos turn out mediocre. The transitions and titles are semi-bland that look like they are generic, out-of-the-box. Our school has APP CS3 but I am sure if I show them a few good videos that have been made with FCS I can get them to buy it (especially with the educational discount) Thanks a lot!

If you video is mp4, just follow below steps to add video to psp:
1.connect psp to pc using a usb cable, go to psp select usb code.

I was watching youtube videos they work perfectly fine normaly, then all of a sudden they stop playing after 3 seconds, so i played a video in windows media player and it played perfectly fine, so i tried myspace videos too and it still didn't work...is it firefox? or is my computer just going crazy!?

I have an R837 HP Digital camera, and ive taken videos at a concert and cant get them to upload. When i connect my camera with the USB cord, the pictures transfer fine but the computer doesnt reconize that there's videos on the camera also. Does anyone know how to get my videos to transfer?

Are you using a file manager like Windows Explorer to transfer the files, or the software that came with the camera. Try both. Also, if you're willing to spend money you could try getting a memory card reader and do it that way.

You Tube videos loading problem.?
Normally I wouldn't ask about what seems to be such a simple computer issue, but I cant figure out what's going on?
Please read the whole question before you answer, because I don't think it is a simple answer.
When I go to any You Tube video, It begins to load, and then starts to play. But about one and a half seconds later, the video freezes and I pressing play does nothing.
If I drag the gauge further into the video, I can get it working for another 1 and a half seconds, and in the time that the videos are playing, I am unable to hear any sound.
I'll clear this up now;
1. I do not have slow Internet. I have high speed cable.
2. I have not used up my bandwidth.
3. I have a good, (above average) computer with a NVIDIA GO 7400 graphics card --With drivers up to date--
4. I am using FireFox.
5. This has only started happening yesterday.
Also, to see if it was a FireFox related issue, I opened up Internet explorer, (hidden deep in my hard drive) and it is working fine, Ideas?

1. Use Opera browser, it will load faster and smoother, and re-install latest flash.
get the latest flash player, and install it.. make sure all the browsers are NOT running during installation...
OR..
2. It could be due to slow connection or high traffic.
Try watching it during off peak hours, the video will be smoother.
Or you could watch it offline smoothly... try using 'zillatube' .
It works well - Just yahoo or google search "zillatube" to get it.

Reply:Sometimes, but rarely---you'll usually be able to notice if it is a bad vid or not, and search the owner of the video, and check their files---if they have lots of weirdly named items, or nothing much,be careful with them. Be aware though, there are viruses that have been created that actually search the internet of what people like to download---popular programs mostly and will rename itself by the name of the program---then people will mistakenly download the virus instead. There are legit videos and programs, but you are safer not using Limewire. Also, hopefully you have a good firewall and anti-virus to stop these viruses before they start

I purchased and downloaded several videos on AOL Premium Video. However, when I go to play them, WMP tries to acquire license, and the AOL server "nori" always gives an unexpected error message!
I've been able to successfully get the license for a couple of the videos by just keeping on trying to play them and getting lucky. However, the vast majority of the time, the license server gives an error.

It's like converting a mp3 thats at 64kbs to 320kbs and expect it to sound better. It's not because the Original was at such a low bitrate to begin with...Understand?
So if you want them to be clear then you have to encode them at the same resolution as the original at 320x240.
