Saving youtube videos to computer to put on ipod?

I have been using a website called youtubex.com and it was working and now its not so then I found another, vixy.net and that also is not working for me it just says youtube is down. but then I found a program called youtube downloader and I got one video to work but then all the videos I tried to download after that did not work it was saved as get_video. I just want to save videos to my computer. help me plz

1) You can easily download videos from YouTube (and other sites) by using Mozilla FireFox and installing the VideoDownloader extension at https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/2390/





Or if you prefer you may copy the link of the desired video and paste into this Web site http://keepvid.com/ to download.





2) To convert to put on ipod...convert your videos to WMV, file type for your phone, or any media type you want by using this free software http://www.box.net/public/rjdoakzpt0





Just download this software and choose the flv file as input file. Chosse "to convert AVI format" or which format you need and convert.





Remember WMV is a type of AVI files. so just convert flv to avi format and its done.
