Does download videos from Limewire bad?

Someone said when I download videos from Limewire, there will be filth things in that videos. Is that true?

Reply:Sometimes, but rarely---you'll usually be able to notice if it is a bad vid or not, and search the owner of the video, and check their files---if they have lots of weirdly named items, or nothing much,be careful with them. Be aware though, there are viruses that have been created that actually search the internet of what people like to download---popular programs mostly and will rename itself by the name of the program---then people will mistakenly download the virus instead. There are legit videos and programs, but you are safer not using Limewire. Also, hopefully you have a good firewall and anti-virus to stop these viruses before they start

Reply:I don't know about the videos, but my friend downloads stuff from limewire and it makes her computer really slow almost dysfunctional. Be careful, I personally don't recommend it.

"Spider-Man 3 (2007) DVD.Rip.ENG," but turn out to be spam or a totally different video. You can wait up to five hours for something you think it's the Rambo movie, but it can turn out to be some cheesy Pokemon episode.





This is caused by seeders and users who name certain files they share, with names from other favorite films, etc.





I've downloaded several music videos in the past and they turn out to be what I was looking for.





Be sure that when you do your search and you find the title you want to download, right click on it--a title appears, which verifies it is a legit file. If no title appears as you right click on the title, well then the file is corrupt. In this case, DO NOT DOWNLOAD the file. When downloading videos, also download AVI files instead of MPEG, which are found to be the most corrupt. If you suspect the file contains a virus and is harming your computer, delete the file from your computer completely.
Reply:limewire is bad in the first place. it has p2p which they can spy on your computer. also if you ever used like a credit card online then can find that number out. but yeah i did hear that some videos are bad

depends on the movies you look for.


and also, it will take ages to download a full length movie.

Reply:sometimes you'll get something (ie. questionable material) in the place of the video you wanted. Some seem to have a feature where they show up as the thing you searched for.
