How to improve the video quality of the videos downloaded from youtube?

i download some videos from youtube but my problem is the video quality. even if i already converted it into .wmv format. The video is like composing of boxes i dont know why. and the faces in the video is not clear.

Reply:You can't...Why? Because the Resolution (320x240) they were uploaded at was so low to begin with. This keeps the files smaller to where Youtube will let you upload them. No matter what you do they will never look any better.


It's like converting a mp3 thats at 64kbs to 320kbs and expect it to sound better. It's not because the Original was at such a low bitrate to begin with...Understand?


So if you want them to be clear then you have to encode them at the same resolution as the original at 320x240.
