If i delete videos from a hard drive that are in a folder and those videos are on my ipod, if i plug my ipod?
Not necessarily.

If you have your iPod on "Auto-Sync", yes. If you delete the file from your hard drive, your iTunes won't be able to read it and your iPod will not play it.

However, you can set your iPod to "Manually Manage Music and Videos" and it will "shield" your iPod from iTunes. Let me explain: basically you'll put a video on your iPod, but if you delete it from iTunes, your iPod will still have it because iTunes will NOT perform an "Auto-Sync"

This is an awesome feature. Why? Because, since your iPod doesn't automatically "Auto-Sync" when connected to iTunes, you can plug your iPod to your buddies' computers and not have their entire library replace your own on your iPod - you can select the songs you want, the movies you want, games, T.V. Shows, ANYTHING - without having anything erase from your iPod.

I move around between computers a lot, so this feature is especially helpful. I can move around these computers without worrying that my library will be deleted off of my iPod.

To do this:

(1) Connect the iPod into your computer.

(2) Click on your iPod, once it shows up.

(3) Click on "Manually Manage Music and Videos"

A message will pop up telling you that you'll have to eject the iPod manually - click "yes" or "okay". This means that you'll have to hit the "Eject" button before removing yout iPod from the computer.

That's it. Now, all you have to do is click-and-drag the songs, movies, etc. that you want onto your iPod. The files you don't want on your iPod don't get into your iPod.

Hope I helped!
