Editing Videos?

I've been taking some videos with my camera recently, not a video camera, just a camera that has video, and was wondering if there was anyway to take it down to individual frames so I can edit things in/out.

What file type would the video need to be in and would I need particular software?

Editing Videos?
If I understand your question correctly, you wanted to convert your video to individual image frames. Normally, video taken using digital camera is in motion-jpeg avi format. The tool to use is virtualdub (free software from http://www.virtualdub.org/).

- Run virtualdub and load your video by simply dragging into it.

- Click File -%26gt; Export -%26gt; Image Sequence...

- Specify the filename prefix, output directory and the format of the images.

- Click OK and you have your images.

Note that if your video is at 30fps, a 5 minutes footage will generate 9000 image files! You can also select just a small section of the video in virtualdub for conversion.

After editing the images, you can put them back as avi video using virtualdub. Simply select File-%26gt;Open video and select the first image file. Do full video processing for optimized storage.
Reply:you could use sony vegas or windows movie maker.

vegas is easier to use than windows movie maker in my opinion
Reply:Windows Movie Maker = Beginners

Camtasia Studio = Medium (I have a youtube vid, youtube.com/crunchonanapple where I give free serial)

Sony Vegas = Expert

Wmm should come with your computer, and if it didn't download it from download.com.
Reply:You can use windows movie maker, if you can transfer your avi files using the card reader if it uses flash cards, otherwise you need a cable to your computer or if you have a bluetooth in your phone you can use to transfer your pc should have a bluetooth too to receive.
