Do videos on YouTube expire after some time? or they remain alive forever?

I upload videos on YouTube and then embed them on my own site. WIll my embedded video work forever? If not, then can u recommend a site where I can upload videos for ever? Also, sometimes, it gives me message 'We're sorry, this video is no longer available.' But if I reload the page, it works. Thanks.

I've never heard of videos being deleted unless they are spam or porno, or illegal.. If you are afraid, however, you can always go to any free webhosting site (hostultra.com would be best for this), and then put the video on there.
Reply:normally the actual videos aren't deleted, unless they are violating the rules/offensive in any way.

however, embedded videos may expire if the URL of the video is changed, the user disables/deletes the video, or if youtube experiences occasional problems.

most videos should last a long time though.
Reply:Does after a while
